My top 10 most anticipated games of 2016, I looked through all the games including ones that have no official release yet and chose 10 that I wanted to play most. I include Rise of The Tomb Raider as its release date for PC and PS4 are both in 2016.
1. Total War Warhammer- I am a huge fan of the Total War franchise and when I was younger I played Warhammer every week. The combination of the two is a match made in heaven with the RTS of Total War and fantasy setting of Warhammer what's not to like. I also hear that they will be extending the map with each expansion and of what I have watched a lot of time and effort has gone into improving existing systems and adding new cool features such as quest battles. If Creative Assembly can learn from their mistakes and not release the buggiest game of the year then it's one to watch out for.

2. Gears of War 4- Back when I owned an Xbox 360 Gears of War was my favourite game trilogy mainly because of the unique and thrilling storyline and constant improvement of the game play mechanics. I was so happy to hear that there would be a fourth title especially after Gears of War Judgement as I would say that Gears of War is one franchise I can't do without. The multiplayer in Gears of War 3 was also very good so even more to look forward to.

3. Horizon Zero Dawn- The constant release of great exclusive Sony titles has really helped to make the PS4 & 3 worth considering over Xbox. I have high hopes for Horizon Zero Dawn and am looking forward to seeing how it stacks up against The Last of Us and Uncharted which are personally two of my favourite games. The premise of Zero Dawn is very unique and intriguing with the combination of hunting robot animals and a post apocalyptic world. Horizon Zero Dawn could very well be the game to play for any PS4 own.

4. Rise of The Tomb Raider- I loved Tomb Raider and I hear that the sequel Rise of the Tomb Raider is just as good. I have pre-ordered the game for PC so I haven't watched any game play but due to other peoples opinions and my own gut feeling and excitement it has to go in the number four spot. I honestly can wait to play it, hopefully it will be successful at keeping me up till midnight like its prequel Tomb Raider was.

5. Uncharted 4 A Thief's End- I haven't actually played the Uncharted games rather I watched my brother play, Never the less it's evident how good the game is if it's fun to watch. Uncharted tells its story so well that you are disappointed when it comes to an end as you find yourself being immersed due to its dynamic game play mechanics, camera and fabulous voice acting which makes the characters very believable and lifelike. In Uncharted you cant help but root for Drake as he goes on his Indiana Jones style adventures of discovery and mystery.

6. Tom Clancy's The Division- For me this looks like a game to play with friends even so I find it to be a breath of fresh air especially the multiplayer which puts a lot of emphasis on team work and tactics. I also found that the setting of the game felt original within the genre where mostly the present or futuristic is used. The mechanics seem fairly similar to most action third person shooters which is good as it doesn't present too much of challenge when it comes to understanding the game. Overall The Division could turn out to be one of Tom Clancy's best games.

7. Farcry Primal- As someone who only ever played Farcry 3 I probably have a different opinion to many fans. Farcry Primal definitely seems like a step in the right direction because I felt that Farcry was becoming stagnant, each title seemed similar, It was never ground braking. Farcry Primal changes everything and is set in a time that not many game studios would have the guts to touch on. I also think that the hunting system in Farcry was made just for this. Hunting was a large part of peoples lives in the stone age, basically a matter of life and death. What's more you can tame predators such as Direwolves to help you hunt larger prey and keep them as pets until they die.

8. For Honor- For Honor seems like one of the best concepts of 2016 and if done right could be game of the year. The combination of knights, samurai and vikings battling it out sounds awesome and of what I have watched it is. The control that you have over your character and sword is very realistic and means you can't just run in and start hacking away, you'll need a plan. I can't wait for this one a must buy.

9. Mirror's Edge Catalyst- Mirror's Edge strikes me as an unusual game one that I will have to buy just because I am intrigued. The first person free running is a unique and awesome feature with beautiful scenery, great animation and very good voice acting helping to pull you into the universe of Mirror's Edge. The free running also feels very dynamic and smooth, wall running, then grabbing onto a drain pipe and climbing said drain pipe never looked better. The fighting combined with free running is also really cool and looks smooth and realistic. As a person who enjoys games and movies with female protagonists I really want to play it.

10. Dark Souls 3- Dark Souls isn't a franchise that I have given much thought to but their newest title looks like a game I can get behind. I tend to sway towards fantasy games and open worlds as I like to have more freedom, to do as I choose. From what I have watched Dark Souls appears to be very appealing. It has smooth mechanics and a good camera which is needed when playing third person. The graphics look amazing and the animation is well done, not to mention the background scenery which looks almost real. If you like fantasy games then Dark Souls 3 should be right up your alley.
